How we check our facts
Last updated August 12, 2026
We show where each fact came from. We also mark made-up examples so no one mistakes them for real client results.
Where we get facts
We start with public sources from CMS, Medicare.gov, federal rules, and state insurance offices. Each guide lists its sources and the date we checked them.
How we use numbers
We show the math for rates and shares near each table. We leave a number out when we cannot find a good source. We do not guess.
Made-up examples
We mark each sample plan as an example. Sample plans do not show client results or promise an outcome.
Updates and fixes
Each page shows when we wrote or changed it. We fix errors after we check the facts. We update the source list when the data changes.
